We believe history is far from boring — or at least it should be! For that reason, we’ve sprinkled a number of special events across the calendar year to encourage and entice the public’s curiosity about Fort Wayne’s past, present and future. Take note of our online Calendar, and join us for any and all of these fun happenings!
Each June, ARCH hosts a Historic Home and Garden tour that features one of Fort Wayne’s notable neighborhoods or architects. We work with these neighborhoods to plan and provide tour-planning expertise and split the tour’s proceeds so that both organizations can continue and complete historic preservation projects. Tours are strategically designed to be managed in an afternoon and often include a special guest lecture relating to the neighborhood’s key features on the previous evening.
2015's Home Tour will feature the homes of Southwood Park. The last time we featured the magnificent homes of this southside gem, we had record-breaking attendance. New to the tour this year will be a food and art fair. The tour will be held on the last Saturday of Junefrom 10-4pm. Tickets $12.00/Advance, $15.00/Day of Tour, Children 12 & under are free with a paid adult.
Food and Artist Vendors: As part of the tour this year, we are introducing a food and art fair. Two blocks of Southwood Park will be shut down to traffic and will host artist/craft booths and food vendors/trucks. We are currently looking for artists and food vendors for the fair. If you wish to participate in the food and art fair, please download the vendor agreement below and return the forms to ARCH, Inc by June 1st, 2015. If you have any questions, please contact Lori Graf, 260-426-5117 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
This year ARCH will also host a second Historic Home and Garden tour featuring the Harrison Hill neighborhood to celebrate their centenary anniversary. Look for more details of this fall tour coming soon.
